| Abstract: | The title compounds 5 were obtained from the reaction of 3,3′,4,4′-tetramethoxybiphenyl ( 6 ) or its 2,2′-dilithio derivative 8 with various chalcogen electrophiles (sulfur dichloride, selenium tetrachloride, selenium oxychloride and tellurium tetrachloride). |
