| Abstract: | Synthesis of 2-deamino- and 2-deamino-2-nitro-chromophores of actinomycin was accomplished by reaction of nitrous acid in fluoroboric acid via diazotization of the 2-amino group in the chromophore. Structural assignments were made by cmr and pmr. |
