| Abstract: | ALICE, the dedicated heavy-ion experiment at the LHC, has also an important proton-proton physics program. The ALICE muon
spectrometer will be presented and the corresponding physics analysis will be reviewed. A particular emphasis will be placed
on heavy-flavor measurement.
