Wipe Pattern Generator with Microcomputer for TV Special Effects

This paper discribes a new kind of TV special effect equipment which differs from the usual types in principle, design idea and configuration. The new system uses a microcomputer to generate the wiping waveform directly instead of the traditional method as "three fundamental wave additioning", so it has high performance, simplicity in hardware, high stability and reliability, easy to manufacture and cost effective. The design idea, circuitry and construction, software design and the key technology are discussed in detail.
