| Abstract: | Several C(α),O-dilithiooximes of aromatic ketones were condensed with aroyl chlorides. The presumed diacyl intermediates were not isolated, and the reaction mixtures containing them were acid-cyclized to give 4-acylisoxazoles in 22–62% yield. |
