| Abstract: | The first stereoselective total synthesis of antibiotic macrolide Berkeleylactone F is described. The synthetic sequence notably features Sharpless kinetic resolution to access chiral epoxide followed by its regioselective ring-opening reaction, Sharpless asymmetric reaction and ring-closing metathesis. |
