Abstract: | A composite multiwalled carbon nanotube polyvinyl chloride electrode based on 7,16‐dibenzyl‐1,4,10,13‐tetraoxa‐7,16‐diazacyclooctadecane (DBDA18C6) as Sm3+ ionophore is reported. This potentiometric sensor showed a wide linear working range, 1×10?2–1×10?8 M, Nernstian slope, 20.2±0.48 mV per decade and a limit of detection, 6.3±0.36×10?9 M. It works in the pH range 2.5–8.5 and shows a good selectivity over a number of metal ions. It has been found suitable for the analysis of ores and industrial effluents. The electrode surface is characterized by FRA and AFM. |
