Abstract: | A combination of CuSO4/dimethylglyoxime was found to be an efficient and inexpensive catalyst system for N‐arylation of imidazole and benzimidazole with aryl halides and heteroaryl halides in water, providing the corresponding products in moderate to good yields. |
