Abstract:Temporal characteristics of luminescence from picosecond infrared laser stimulated electron trapping materials (ETM's) are demonstrated. The measurements show that the luminescent lifetimes of SrS(Eu,Sm) and SrS(Ce,Sm) are 41 ns and 46 ns, respectively. The results indicate that use of electron trapping materials in real-time optical information processing is possible.
