Abstract:The paper reported a new type of high temperature CO shiftcatalyst which is prepared by using promoters MoO3 and CeO2 to replaceCr2O3 and stuied the activities the reducibilities and the adsorptiondesorption propertics of a series of catalysts ineluding Fe2O3-MoO3 .Fe2O3 CeO2. Fe2O3-MoO3-CeO2 and so on The results show that the activity ofFe2O3-MoO3-CeO2 catalyst exceeds that of Fe2O3-Cr2O3 catalyst beingused in the industry The influence of the content of MoO3 of CeO2 on theactivities of catalysts is obvious There are interactions among MoO3 CeO2and Fe2O3 The addition of MoO3 can improve the oxidi/ing step in theredox mechnism to merease the activity of the catalyst The reaction mainlytakes place on the coordmate adsorption centers and the dissociative dissociativeadsorption centers the more the adsorption centers are the higher theactivity of the catalyst is
