| Abstract: | The ultramicrocoulometric acidimetric titration of carbon dioxide in an aqueous solution was compared with a simple volumetric titration in nonaqueous solution. The lower limit of determination was about 200 and 20 ng carbon, respectively. A determination of organic carbon (as benzoic acid or sucrose) in an aqueous solution takes less than 1 min. |
