Research note on plastic behavior of polycrystals under shear

Abstract:
A theoretical model for predicting the plastic behavior of a polycrystal under shear loading is derived. All the material properties appearing in the macroconstitutive equation are explicitly given in terms of the single crystal properties and crystalline structure. Numerical results for FCC polycrystals are calculated by a Monte Carlo method.
