| Abstract: | Reaction of chlorodiphenylphosphine with (η5-C5H5)(η7-C7H6Li)Ti gave (η5-C5H5)[η7-C7H6P(C6H5)2]Ti in good yields. This novel phosphinetitanium (II) derivative displaced one carbonyl of metal carbonyl complexes [Ni(CO)4, Fe(CO)5 and Mo(CO)6] to afford heterobimetallic complexes containing low valent titanium, and behaved as a poor electron-donating phosphine. |
