| Abstract: | The ruthenium(II) complexes (η-R5C5)Ru(CO)2X with R = H, CH3 and X = Cl, Br, I undergo a facile reaction with nitric oxide under UV irradiation to afford ruthenium(IV) nitrosyl derivatives of the general type (η-R5C5)Ru(NO)X2. |
