| Abstract: | Polysubstituted benzene derivatives with an unprecedented substitution pattern are produced in a novel one-pot multi-component cyclization reaction from pyridine, ethyl alpha-bromoacetate, malononitrile and aromatic aldehyde in refluxing acetonitrile. |
