Collins formula interpreted as wavelet transform

Based on the manipulation of input and output complex amplitude definitions of a light field in space domain, one direct relation between the Collins formula and the wavelet transform has been derived, namely, the Collins formula has been interpreted as a generalization of the wavelet transform. Then some elementary optical systems’ behavior has been described according to this derivation for example. This observation would be useful in various optical applications by virtue of wavelet transform's character.
