| Abstract: | The phase-transfer catalyzed reaction of N-diphenylmethyleneaminoacetonitrile with aromatic aldehydes affords 4-aryl-3-cyano-1,1-diphenyl-2-aza-1,3-butadienes (3) in good yields. |
