| Abstract: | Six naturally occuring xanthones are synthesized by the thermal condensation of methyl 2,6-dihydroxybenzoate, methyl 2,4-dihydroxybenzoate and methyl 2,4,6-trihydroxybenzoate with hydroquinone, catechol and pyrogallol. |
