| Abstract: | The Lewis acid catalyzed reaction of ketenealkylsilylacetals with acrylonitrile and 2-chloroacrylonitrile can take place via two pathways : a 2+2] cycloaddition in CCl4-ZnBr2 and a Michaël-type addition in CH2Cl2-ZnI2. |
