| Abstract: | Thieno2,3-b]thiophene and its 2-methyl- and 2-N,N-dialkylamino derivatives have been obtained in fair yields in a one-pot procedure using the diynes CH3C≡CC≡CR (R=Me3Si, CH3, NMe2, NEt2) and carbon disulfide as building blocks and n-butyllithium, potassium tert-butoxide and t-butylacohol as reagents. |
