| Abstract: | Methyl acetoacetate and 2,4-pentanedione dianions were condensed with aldehydes and ketones to afford a 1,3,5-trioxygenated carboskeleton. Intramolecular cyclization of the aldol adducts delivered the title compounds in good yield. |
