| Abstract: | A variety of quaternary ammonium salts derived from 2-aryl-3-(N, N-dimethylamino)-1-propenes have been converted to the corresponding alkyl and fluoroalkyl ethers by displacement of the ammonium group. This procedure represents an efficient means for the construction of 2-aryl substituted allylic ethers. |
