| Abstract: | Regioselective hydrolysis of cocaine led, according to the reaction conditions, either to benzoylecgonine or to ecgonine methyl ester. Acylation with benzoylecgonine was readily achieved when benzotriazolyloxytrisdimethylamino-phosphonium (BOP) was used as a coupling agent. |
