| Abstract: | A highly basic phosphine, tris(2,4,6-trimethoxy phenyl)phosphine (TTMPP), catalyzes cyanomethylation using trimethylsilylacetonitrile (TMSCH2CN) to give the corresponding products in good to high yields, with both carbonyl compounds and imines. |
