Drawning-out Crystallization

Equations for the modelling of a continuous perfectly agitated crystallizer with drowning-out reaction are presented. Because the supersaturation of the solution is usually limited by the materials balance resulting from the technology used and the crystal growth rate is thus rather low, an agglomeration mechanism is considered in order to obtain larger particles. The results are demonstrated on an example of drawning-out of KCl by NaCl.
