Abstract: | The Hg-PAN complex can be made soluble in water by addition of surfactant, and this can be made the basis of a spectrophotometric determination of Hg at ppm level. The selectivity and sensitivity can be improved by use of derivative spectrometry. The method has been applied to mercury-containing pesticides. |
