Abstract: | We describe the realization of atom-optical elements asmagnetic waveguide potentials, beam splitters and gravitationaltraps on a microchip. The microchip was produced by electroplatinggold conductors on an aluminium-oxide substrate. The conductors are30–150 μm wide and allow for the generation of waveguides atlarge distances to the chip surface, where surface effects arenegligible. We show that these elements can be integrated on asingle chip to achieve complex atom-optical circuits. |
