Polymers containing carbohydrate residues

2,3,4,6-Tetra-O-methyl-D -glucosyl methacrylate and acrylate were prepared and subsequently polymerized by radical initiation. The optical rotatory dispersions of the polymers in tetrahydrofuran and in chloroform obeyed a first-order Drude equation.
