Effect of multiple reradiations on the shape of the magnetic depolarization contour III. The influence of the Faraday effect

The effect of anomalous dispersion on the transfer of polarized resonance radiation in the presence of a magnetic field is theoretically investigated. The magnetic rotation of the plane of polarization is studied under unusual Faraday-effect conditions of small optical thicknesses ( – 1–10) and weak magnetic fields (H 10–100 Oe). It is shown that the angle of rotation of the plane of polarization can take negative values. The results of numerical calculations are presented in the form of graphs.
