Abstract:The absorption character of tin in the graphite furnace in HCl, HNO_3, H_2SO_4 and H_3BO_3 was investigated. The mechanism of free atom formation of tin in the different matrixes in graphite furnace was studied. It was found that H_3BO_3 is a good matrix modifier for tin in the graphite furnace. The addition of 1% H_3HB_3 overcame many of the depressive effects observed with a number of matrixes, including sulfate and chloride.
