| Abstract: | A stereoselective synthesis of fragment A of cryptophycin is achieved utilizing the versatile Prins cyclization. Subsequently, the total synthesis of cryptophycin-24 (arenastatin A) has been accomplished by coupling it with the depsipeptide subunit. |
