Abstract: | Summary The TLC behaviour of closely related aromatic amines on silica gel plates impregnated with sodium oxalate, potassium oxalate, ammonium oxalate, sodium chloride, sodium acetate and sodium sulphate has been studied and it has been concluded that, unlike earlier findings the TLC behaviour is primarily influenced by the anion and not by the cation impregnation. Suitable adsorbent and solvent systems for an efficient separation of closely related isomers of this class of physiologically important compounds have been developed. |
