Abstract: | Pattern recognition techniques are a group of modern mathematical methods for solving classification problems. In analytical chemistry they may well become essential tools for the automation of some types of classification problems, such as qualitative analysis by the interpretation of spectra, or quality control problems in, for instance, the food industry. |
