| Abstract: | The development of some new ionization techniques for thermally labile compounds has considerably extended the applicability of mass spectrometry to biochemical, medical and environmental sciences. Field desorption mass spectrometry (FD MS) is one of these techniques in which ions are directly formed from solids or liquids. |
