| Abstract: | Diketene contains both electrophilic and nucleophilic center, enabling it to react with a large number of substrates to provide functionalized heterocycles, although it is best known as a reagent for the preparation of acetoacetic acid derivatives. The recent advance was introduced for its application in the syntheses of heterocyclic compounds with 38 refernces. |
