| Abstract: | Modeling vortex decay is essential for estimating the risk that during landing an aircraft will hit the wake vortex from a
preceding aircraft. The relevance of this problem has increased due to the growing traffic in airports and the development
of vortex forecasting systems. Green’s model, one of the models describing the decay of point vortices, is generalized in
this article to cylindrical vortices.
