南诏大理国时期佛教密宗与白族先民政治生活的积极互动

佛教密宗在洱海地区的传入,重新建构了洱海地区各部族的民族认同观念,为白族先民共同体的形成发挥了文化凝聚的功能,是洱海地区各部族从前国家社会跃进到国家的重要文化力量,成为南诏时期国家与民族之间实现积极互动的工具。佛教密宗在大理地区形成了与政治权威结合、与本土文化融合、与世俗社会结构对应的僧侣和僧团组织;释儒阶层的产生是佛教、儒教与白族本土文化相互嫁接、吸收、融合的产物,从释儒到儒商,再到乡绅,其在不同历史时期演化为不同的社会角色,在白族社会彰显自身价值和作用。
