| Abstract: | Using the small-k expansion method, we obtain a closed-form expression for the growth rate of long-wavelength transverse instabilities of solitary pulse solutions to a modified Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation with a nonlinearity of the form (Aup+Bu2p)ux. |
