| Abstract: | A concise, stereoselective synthesis of 1-deoxygulonojirimycin was achieved and the absolute configuration of the natural product was revised. Key features involve diastereoselective oxazoline formation catalyzed by palladium(0), RCM and dihydroxylation. |
