Abstract:
A microwave diagnostic method is developed to study the amplitude variations of electron density and collision frequency and the phase difference between these two variables in a weakly-ionized gaseous plasma. The method is utilized to study the perturbations of a nitrogen positive column through which an acoustic wave is propagating.
