二阶偏振模色散测量分析

摘    要:在庞加莱球的基础上,对原偏振模色散的测量方法进行了理论分析.研究表明,原方法属于间接测量,在测量二阶偏振模色散中存在明显不足.一阶偏振模色散测量的误差影响二阶偏振模色散的测量,间接测量降低了二阶偏振模色散的测量准确度.提出了一种二阶偏振模色散测量的新方法,保证了测量准确度,并通过实验中的统计结果得到证实.

Abstract:Based on Poincaré sphere, theoretical analysis is given on the measurement of second order PMD. Research shows that original method is indirect and deficient in the measurement of second order PMD. Error in measurement of first order PMD will influence second order PMD. Precision of measurement is reduced in original method. A new method is proposed. This method is simple and clear. Precision of measurement can be guaranteed, which is proved from the statistical results in the experiment.
