Abstract:
An original alternative approach to isoquinolines based on the installation of a benzene nucleus on a performed heterocyclic ring. Synthesis of 3,4-dihydrobenzog]isoquinoline-1(2H)-ones and 3,4-dihydroisoquinoline-1(2H)-ones via intramolecular electrophilic cyclization of 3,4-disubstituted lactams is reported.
