Abstract:The structure of Fe/Mn catalysts after calcination, reduction and FT synthesis was investigated by means of MES and XRD. With the increase of Mn content, the catalysts gradually changed from magnetic to superparamagnetic state. Therefore, the reduction of catalysts was retarded.FT performance of catalysts may be related with the structure of spinel (Fel-y Mny,)3O4 and the value of y. The presence of MnCO3 and MnO could also favor the FT performance. In iron-rich and manganese-rich catalysts, Mn mainly acted as an electronic and structural promoter respectively. For the latter samples, more complex phases were present and lnorc reactions were in competition during the FT performance.
