Abstract:As important organic intermediates, terminal aryl acetylenes have been widely applied in the organic and polymer field. The effect of reactants(alkynylzinc reagents and aryl halides reagent), catalysts(palladium catalyst and cocatalyst) and other reaction conditions on the synthesis of terminal aryl acetylene are reviewed. The reaction mechanisms of palladium catalyzed coupling elimination reaction are discussed, showing that palladium catalyzed coupling elimination reaction is an effective method in the synthesis of the terminal aryl acetylene.
