Heat transfer in a hydromagnetic flow between two porous disks—One rotating and other at rest,under uniform suction

Abstract:Heat transfer in the flow of a conducting Fluid between two non-conducting porous disks (—one is rotating and other is stationary) in the presence of a transverse uniform magnetic field and under uniform suction, is studied. Asymptotic solutions are obtained for R«M 2. The rate of Heat flux from the disks and the temperature distribution are investigated. It is observed that the temperature distribution and heat flux increase with the increase of magnetic field.
