| Abstract: | Abstract. The Upper Bound Conjecture is verified for a class of odd-dimensional simplicial complexes that in particular includes all Eulerian simplicial complexes with isolated singularities. The proof relies on a new invariant of simplicial complexes—a short simplicial h -vector. |
