| Abstract: | Pointwise upper and lower bounds for the solution of a Dirichlet problem involving the Poisson-Boltzmann equation in cylindrical coordinates are derived from the theory of maximum principles in differential equations. Simple analytical bounding curves are obtained for various illustrative examples. |
