| Abstract: | The EPR spectrum of γ-irradiated 2,2,3,3-tetramethylbutane has been reinvestigated. Previous evidence for the radical cation Me3C??CMe+3 has been critically examined and it is concluded that a more satisfactory analysis can be made on the basis of the three neutral radicals ?CH2CMe2CMe3, ?CMe2CMe3 and ?CMe3. |
