Abstract: | Microstructured polymer optical fibres (mPOFs) can be more easily fabricated in unusual geometries than their silica counterparts, allowing a more diverse range of structures to be explored. We have used evolutionary algorithms to explore a variety of fibre structures, including non-periodic structures. |
