Abstract:The spin model of single domain ferromagnetic film is considered. Only the nearest-neighbor interactions are taken into account. The interactions depend on distances from surfaces. The external magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the easy axis lying in the plane of the film. The thermodynamic behaviour of the model is studied near the second-order ferro-paramagnetic phase transition for the component of the magnetization in the direction of the easy axis. The molecular-field theory is used. The phase diagram and profiles of the order parameter are obtained. Different feasible investigations of the phase transition are compared.
